It’s one thing to talk about it, but it’s different to see them: they are incredibly enormous. We are talking about the six mega-structures, which weight over 3 thousand tons each, and that will be used to purbackle and thus, remove the Costa Concordia wreck (300 meters long, with a weight of 114 thousand tons), which was wrecked off the coast of Giglio Island. Their construction - designed by the American company Titan Salvage together with the Italian firm Micoperi from Ravenna - is about to be completed in these days, and Cima S.p.A. from Piacenza is among the companies that participated in the construction works.
Giant Structures, which will be placed on the seabed and help set the ship - which is now resting on its starboard side - back to its position.
